Lake Nakuru National Park is a beautiful wildlife haven situated on the floor of the Great Rift Valley, surrounded by wooded and bushy grassland. Masai Mara is among the most frequented Game Reserve in Kenya. A safari to the Masai Mara will give you a chance to see an incredible range of animals. Itinerary
DAY 1 – Lake Nakuru National Park.
Our driver will pick you up from your hotel at 7:00 am then through the floor of the Great Rift Valley, stopping on the way for curios and to admire and marvel at the breathtaking views of the escarpment. We arrive at Lake Nakuru National Park in time for a mid-morning game drive. You will have a chance of spotting about 400 bird species, including 5 globally threatened species and is an important stop on the African-Eurasian Migratory Flyway.
The park was also the first national Rhino sanctuary and hosts one of the world’s highest concentrations of the Black Rhinoceros.
Have picnic lunch at leisure. As we find our way out of the park; we have another game drive on our way to Naivasha.
Arriving Naivasha, at the Great Rift Valley Lodge in time for dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast, check out for departure to Masai Mara. Arrive at Masai Mara in time for lunch. The afternoon game drive at 3:30 pm allows spotting varieties of wildlife ranging from the big cats such as Lion, Leopard & Cheetah to Rhino, Elephant, and Wildebeest.
Return to your lodge / camp by 6:30 pm for Dinner and overnight stay.
Early morning breakfast followed by full day game drive within the national reserve. Masai Mara is famous for the annual wildebeest migration which starts from July to October every year. They cross through the Mara River which cuts through the Mara and Serengeti ecosystems giving life to both reserves before pouring into Lake Victoria. Impressive and most notable is the wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle instinct-led migration from the Serengeti in Tanzania to Mara in Kenya.
Dinner and overnight at your lodge / camp.
DAY 4 –Masai Mara – Nairobi
After breakfast, check out of the lodge /camp then depart for Nairobi.
Drop off at the hotel.
